In the last week of Term 2, Casebrook held its first-ever Go-Kart Derby!
The Go-Kart Derby is a race that was held at Casebrook as part of the Term 2 Casebrook Challenge. It was held in the last week of last term. It was worth 16 points in the Casebrook Challenge which is the equivalent of a gold badge. Lots of students competed in the derby and there were heaps of different types of go-karts.
We asked Manaia in Room 6 a few questions about his experience in the derby.
How fast does your go-kart go?
It travels 70km per hour max.
How long did it take you to build your go-kart?
It took about 7 weeks to build.
What was the hardest part of the race track?
All of the corners, as some of them were quite tight so you couldn’t go too fast.
