Ashburton Athletics

38 Casebrook students headed down to Ashburton to compete in the Canterbury Schools Athletics competition.

What a fantastic day we were treated to down in Ashburton on Tuesday!  All students competed with awesome REP throughout the competition, especially in the punishing heat.  Safe to say there were a few tired bodies on the bus ride home!  We had some great results and a very successful day.  A huge thank you to Mr Russell, Miss Mordue and Penny Tank for helping and well done to all students involved. Our placings are as follows:

Samuel Pethig - 1st in Discus and 60m, 2nd in Shot Put.

Rueben Anguisaca - Bland - 1st in 100m, 2nd in Discus

Dominic Pulley - 2nd in Open 1500m

Calib Bone - 2nd in Yr8 Boys 100m

Rebekah Lamb - 2nd in Yr8 Girls Long Jump and Year 8 Girls 60m

Kate Taylor - 3rd in Yr8 Girls High Jump

Trinity Mackley - Flutey - 2nd in Yr7 Girls Shot Put

Blessing Muchirahondo - 3rd in Yr7 Girls Shot Put
