Are you finding it more difficult to communicate with your son or daughter as they move into adolescence? Are you receiving conflicting information on what ‘other kids’ are allowed to do? Is it frustrating when your teenager only communicates in one syllable grunts or ignores you altogether?

Karen Campbell is offering a free one hour presentation titled ‘Behaviour is Communication – Even in the Teen Years’ for all interested parents followed by a half hour question time. Sometimes managing the teenage years feels like a minefield. The world is changing at such a fast rate and there are so many different opinions out there on what you ‘should do’ as parents of teens. There are hormonal changes, technology issues and constant peer pressures on teenagers that can make parenting very challenging.

Karen Campbell is a behaviour specialist who has studied and worked in the behaviour field for over twenty years. She has a Master's degree and has studied psychology, counselling and applied behaviour analysis. She is passionate about helping parents to manage challenging behaviour in the home so that the family can connect and communicate positively together. Karen believes many behaviours can be prevented or managed if parents have a basic understanding of ‘behaviour principles’ that are proven to work for older children and teenagers.
