In 2020 we were lucky enough to work with Albany Peseta who led our Year 8's down some leadership and service pathways related to their cultures.
This year we have begun working with Albany again. This time he brings along Faith, who is another tutor who is excited to work with our Pasifika group.
Our pasifika group has around 60 students of all ethnicities, today during an activity there were over 25 different cultures in the one room. This shows how diverse our school population is.
The first part of our work with Albany & Faith is looking at our pasifika values and cultures and how they can be put into our every day lives. A lot of group work, breaking down barriers and being comfortable in our identities.
We look forward to continuing our work with Tama Mai Saute and are excited to see where this journey takes us.
