This time of year means school hats and sunscreen are extremely important.
We want our students to self manage their 'sun-smartness' as they get older but understand there needs to be lots of guidance from staff and whānau to ensure students make sun-smart choices.
Hats/Caps:
We sell a Casebrook cap for $15 in the office. Whilst not compulsory it is highly recommended and popular with the students.
Other hat/cap options are available! We don't require anything other than a blue or maroon plain coloured cap or bucket hat. Wide-brimmed hats are of course encouraged too.
A quick search of The Warehouse or Kmart websites shows some easy cheap options:
Sunscreen:
We make it clear that all students can access sunscreen in their classrooms at all times.
Our office also stocks sunscreen for any students unable to find a duty teachers who have a supply on them break times in Term 1.
