On the 30th of October, the Casebrook A and B teams went on a trip to Dunedin to compete against the best teams in the South Island, such as Cobham A and Balmacewen.
The players got up early to begin the 5 hour car ride to Aaron lodge where the teams would be staying. Shortly after the teams had unpacked, the teams went down to Moana pool for the B teams first game. All teams competing played in the dive pool (which was 4.6 meters deep in some parts). The games were played in 5 minute quarters.
Overall we had a good tournament regardless of the placing. Both of our teams came up against good players and teams alike. Every day was an obstacle but the students of Casebrook Intermediate demonstrated their REP values while in and out of the pool. The Casebrook A team placed 6th and our Casebrook B team placed 12th.
On behalf of the Casebrook A and B teams I would like to give a big thanks to Miss McKenzie, Mr Broad, and Lauren for everything. They helped coach and they organised ten pin bowling and fish and chips for us.
Also, thanks to all the parents for transporting us and helping out!
The teams had a great time while down in Dunedin and we hope to see people in the B team playing for the A team next year.
