On the 31st of October, Casebrook’s A and B water polo teams went to Dunedin and represented Casebrook in the South Island Water Polo Tournament.
Over a 3 day period, each team played a total of seven tiring games, trying their best to win.
When asked how the feelings were at the start of the tournament, Eddie, a student from the A-Team, said, “I was worried, nervous, and slightly excited at the start because the first game was the most important game of the tournament.”
The tournament was three great days. We had a lot of fun on the way there, stopping at the Moeraki Boulders to have lunch. On the first night we got to go bowling and have lasagna for tea.
At the end of the tournament, everyone felt tired but proud. The A team came 6th and the B team got a lot of experience and improved dramatically. A special thanks to Miss McKenzie for all of her support throughout the year.
Moving forward, the B team is training hard for the 2021 tournament but next year they’re going to play even better, to try and win.
