Jay Xuan Tan of Room 16 competed in the South Island Badminton U13, U15 and U17 Teams and Individuals Tournament during the first week of the school holidays.
The South Island tournament was hosted by Canterbury with teams coming from Southland, Otago, West Coast and Marlborough. Jay Xuan's Canterbury team placed 1st in U13 Teams, winning all their ties 8-0. Jay Xuan and his partner Momo placed 1st in U13 Badminton Boys Doubles. Jay Xuan and his partner Emma placed 1st in U15 Mixed Doubles.
