Luke gave our reporters five minutes of his time to talk to us about his love for trampolining, how to get good at it, and just what skills you need to excel.
Luke recently competed in the 2020 TC1 Series Trampoline Championship where he took away a few prizes. We interviewed Luke to learn about this sport.
Why did you get into trampolining?
Because I wanted to join a new sport with awesome opportunities.
What is your training schedule like?
Warm-up routines. Badge routines and age routines, I am in the age routines. We completed the badge routines. After the warm-up, we practice our tramp skills.
How did you get into this sport?
My brothers were doing it and I wanted to join in.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start?
Practice a lot. Need to be dedicated. A session can last an hour or two.
What are some awards or competitions you have won or entered?
Trampoline competition. Double mini I got second place. The set routine I came third.
What are the best parts/worst parts of your sport?
The best parts - it is really fun and you get to do your own thing sometimes.
The worst parts - falling into the springs and it's after school on a Monday.
