UC Kiwi Spelling Bee Competition

The KIWI Spelling Bee - 2020 registrations are now OPEN!

From the UC website:

The aim of the spelling bee is to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will inspire confidence and a love of language that lasts a lifetime.

These are no ordinary spelling bees. In addition to the usual spelling, these competitions will include synonyms, antonyms, grammar and vocabulary! The question types will be multiple-choice, fill in the gaps and short answer. The competitions have been designed by experienced New Zealand teachers.

At Casebrook the last day for entries is:

MONDAY 10th August.

The Kiwi Spelling Bee will be held at Casebrook on Tuesday 8th September 2020 (but can be made available to students who are unable to sit it on this date).

A letter with entry form is attached via PDF to this article or can be picked up in our school library (Te Puna Waro) in paper form.
