Casebrook Fabric Technology students have visited Northcote Kidsfirst Kindergarten to share their harakeke weaving skills with the fabulous kindy students.
The students have been learning to weave putiputi and this was a great opportunity
for our students to appreciate the learning for this age group and build up a
rapport.
I was really proud of the care, kindness and patience shown by our Year 8’s. They have showcased our Casebrook values as wonderful role models.
For their design challenge this year they have decided to create dress-up capes for the Northcote Kids First students. The Kindergarten teachers have contributed valuable feedback into their design ideas and now the students are excited to be creating their special capes.
We will be showcasing these at Creativity Plus – so watch this space.
