Students in digi-tech have been using code.org to develop their coding skills.
This is a course in which concepts and skills are revisited and built upon as the students progress. It covers computer science themes such as Algorithms, Loops, Functions, Variables, and Conditionals, and covering skills such as Creativity, Persistence, and Problem Solving.
Students also have the option of developing their design skills using Tinkercad. Having briefly looked at this in class before the lockdown, some students have built on what we covered and designed interesting creations. Zara Goodman’s design of her room is a wonderful example of what is possible.
