During the past few weeks the children who are in Hard Materials this semester have had the opportunity to develop a scale model.
Called ‘Of your place, at your place’ they were asked to create a model of something at home that could be measured and drawn accurately. To use that information in the creation of a scale model of that thing and to upload their progress to an instructional slide-show I had shared.
As everyone’s resources at home were limited and
very different from each other it introduced the ‘number 8 wire’ factor, with
perseverance to the fore. And these factors have resulted in a wide range
of creative, unique and awesome solutions.
