Year 8 students finally got the chance to exhibit the sculptures they have been creating in the Art Room.
Under the theme "Be the Change" the Year 8 art students worked in groups of three to create life-size sculptures, that told the story of a positive change they felt impacted their local and wider community. They explored what one thing they could do to make the world a better place. Topics the students covered for positive change were varied such as - Child Poverty, Domestic Violence, Gifting Money to those in Need, Gender Pay Equity, Animal Cruelty, Polluting the Environment. Students installed their sculptures around the specialist area over two lunch breaks for the school to see. You will have an opportunity to see some of these in the Creativity Plus exhibition later in the year.
Alongside the creating of their sculptures, students photographed their journey which they are presently exhibiting in the LRC and the school foyer.
