A round up of a fantastic season of Netball for Casebrook!
Congratulations to all the Netball students who competed so well at Hagley! You always showed REP and displayed a positive attitude no matter the outcome of the games. A special congratulations to the Year 7 A team, they came first equal in their division.
A very big THANK-YOU to the parents who coached the teams – your support is very much appreciated! Thanks to Leanne Lancaster and Helen Healey for coaching the Year 8 A team; Reena Snowden for coaching the Year 7 A team, and Tatiana for coaching the Year 7 B team.
Thanks for a great season!

The Year 8 Netball A Team got off to a rough start, after being put in the top section in the top division for Intermediate Netball. We all had to work really hard throughout the season and we always gave 100% in our games. We ended up coming in 5th place in the top section!
We are really proud of how well our team went!

Hagley sport was a great experience. Every Tuesday afternoon our team would travel to Hagley by bus and play against other schools. We always showed Casebrook REP. Every game we would play our hardest but still have fun and show fair-play. At first we did really well and were winning all our games, until we started versing harder teams which we would only occasionally win against, but we still represented our school well and had fun. From our point of view the whole team, Emily, Emma, Billie-Marie, Madilin, Jennifer, Maddison, Anna, Naomi and Jenna, played really well and never gave up. Defence probably had the most work but used their perseverance very well and kept playing. We are sure everyone enjoyed this season.

As the captain of the Netball Yr7 A team, I noticed how well our team showed R.E.P during each game we played. We played fairly and showed perseverance.
We managed to win every game and always displayed sportsmanship and fair-play by giving the other team a handshake and saying ‘good game’ at the end. The biggest achievement was coming first equal to Heaton in the finals.
I knew we had a good team from the first netball practice!
Overall, we had a phenomenal netball season, (except for the terrible rain). Personally I couldn't have asked for a better team to play in.

I really enjoyed being in the B team with a lot of other motivated girls. We had to work together and build our confidence to play well.
Tatiana, you have been a great coach to work with. You have helped us develop strategies and skills to be better players. We have lost some games, but we persevered, had a lot of fun and we worked as a team, personally that’s all that matters. Thank you Tatiana and B team for making winter sports one of my favourite highlights of the year.
