House Leaders for 2020

Chloe and Katelyn checked out the latest scoop on the new house leaders for 2020.

On the 5th of December 2019, the new house leaders for 2020 were announced. On Thursday afternoon, 30 students gathered excitedly around Mr Leith.

Once Mr Leith had warned us that he ‘didn’t trust the press’ and we were relocated from our comfortable red chairs, he began his prepared speech. This speech existed to prepare the remaining students for disappointment as only eight could be chosen.

With that, our deputy principal started to hand out letters to the new House Leaders and members of the Student Council

Eight students left celebrating. Everyone who tried out worked really hard with their poster and speeches but finally the house leaders were awarded.

The new 2020 house leaders are:

• Ashton Fairley - Room 5

• Gafatasi Ierome - Room 13

• Aidan Sandys - Room 13

• Cohan Max - Room 13

• Sienna Yearbury - Room 1

• Ashleigh Peters - Room 9

• Addison Langton - Room 13

• Daniella Peacock - Room 13

Good job to all these students and everyone else who tried out. Remember if you didn’t get house leader or top 15 then there are still plenty of other student leadership roles including:

• Classroom leader

• Road patrol

• Librarian

• Sport shed monitors
