Casebrook Students make it into the Special Senior Choir for the Christchurch Music Festival.
Year 7 students, Morgan and Emily and year 8 students, Lileeh, Ruby and Sophie had a successful audition earlier in Term 2 as they made it into the Senior Special Choir for the Christchurch Music Festival.
These students demonstrated REP as they attended two extra rehearsals for 9 weeks prior to their audition, one being Thursday morning before school, the second Friday afternoon after school.
Only 100 students from around the Canterbury region. They are given the opportunity to be part of this choir and students will be able to broaden their understanding of choral music, develop their musicality and enjoy making connections and friendships with other students who share the same passion for singing. This experience is invaluable.
As a member of this choir these students are expected to attend Saturday rehearsals leading up to the performance in October, taking place in the Horncastle Arena. They will also be part of a three day holiday course during the September school holidays.
Casebrook are incredibly proud of these five students and we look forward to watching you participate as a Special Senior choir member in the Horncastle Arena.
