Be Inspired

Be Inspired was a conference for Young Leaders.

The conference was held at Christ College from around 1pm to 3.30pm on Thursday 14th November. There were ten different intermediate schools at Christ College listening to the speakers. They heard from some very inspirational speakers, including Brendan Dooley, a comedy magician. He told them that when he was late teens/early twenties his mum got sick and eventually died. He told them she inspired him to become the amazing and funny magician that he is today. There were also many other inspirational people at the conference. After they heard from Brendan they split off into groups and did two different activities.

Mac from Room 14 told us about the activities he did.

Mac said he did the ‘egg drop test’ and apparently it was fun. He also learnt about the volunteer student army and the problems they solve in our community. Thank you Mac.

After the students had done their activities Christ College put on a lovely afternoon tea for them.
