On Friday 13th September Casebrook Intermediate went to the 2019 Cultural Festival at Horncastle Arena.
We interviewed some of the students and staff who went. Here is what they had to say about their experience.
Korys from Room 3 said, “Going to Cultural Festival was a great experience. It was great meeting new people.”
Angie from Room 1 said, “I did Pasifika and Kapa Haka. My favourite part about it was performing on stage.”
Baxter from Room 12 said, “Cultural Festival was a really good time, we did what we do best and it all paid off. I want to mihi to Whaea Tania and Matua Wilie for getting us to where we are and providing us with the resources to perform.”
Sophia from Room 9 said, “I did Pasifika, Kapa Haka and Korean dance! My favourite part was performing.”
Matua Leys said, “My favourite part was finally getting the groups on stage and watching them perform. My big goal was to get everybody there and ensure smooth transmissions.”
The groups that went were Kapa Haka, Korean dance and Pasifika. Everyone had a good time and represented Casebrook with pride. Below is a link to watch the performance!
