Paid Union Meeting - 21st March

As most of you will be aware last year NZEI (Teachers Union) and the Ministry of Education were renegotiating the Primary Teachers Collective Agreement. This still hasn't been resolved, so there are going to be paid union meetings coming up later in March.

The NZEI is entitled to do so under the Employment Relations Act 2000. As all teachers are expected to attend this meeting, we ask that you make alternative arrangements for your child from 1:00pm. If required, there will be a very small number of non-union staff members to supervise students at school, but there will be no formal instruction. The canteen will not be open at lunchtime, only at interval.
