A select group of students from four classrooms at Casebrook celebrated their finished work in the Casebrook Writers programme this week.
Parents and students were invited to celebrate the conclusion of our Term 2/3 Casebrook Writers programme on Tuesday afternoon.
The Casebrook writers is an online writing course developed by our school for our unique student community. It utilises the excellent access students at our school have to laptops and computers as a way to engage and inspire our writers.
Students were challenged to further their skills in writing through engaging activities such as cooking, construction, exploration and creation. They then worked on specific key skills to further their understanding around what makes great writing great.
Engagement was increased further through housing our lessons online to enable the use of web-tools and websites to further explore ideas and experiences.
We're really proud of the growth our students have achieved throughout the 15 weeks and this cant happen without the expertise of our teachers and the wonderful positive support from home.
Thanks to all involved for their hard work and success.
