During the last school holiday break I was fortunate enough to travel with an agent, two parents, eight Year 8 students and one Year 7 student from Casebrook and Cobham to China and Korea for the full two week break.
Whilst we were away we had many once in a life time experiences, we climbed the Great Wall of China, visited the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Haven, Tian’ anmen Square, visited Lotte World, and performed in the Baekje festival and parade just to name a few.
While most of the time we stayed in hotels the children did get to experience staying in a Korean home stay for four nights, this was a fantastic opportunity to really get to know their hosts, our students were treated like royalty and it was a very emotional send off when it was time to leave.
The opportunities that the students experienced were just amazing, the culture, the food, the people but most importantly the memories and friendships that have been formed will be forever lasting.
