It's been another successful year at the annual Cantamath competition in both the Team Competition, and Exhibition and Display Competitions
Well done to the Year 7 and Year 8 teams that competed at the annual Cantamath competition at Horncastle Arena on Wednesday 22nd August. Once again there were over 90 teams competing in each year level competition.
The Year 7 team of Bree Banks, Natalie Rivett, Joshua Seaton & Caleb Stevens worked well together and scored an excellent 70 points, out of a possible 100 points.
The Year 8 team of Ethan Hamilton, Alex Macdonald, Ryan Maule and Matthieu Rigter put in a stellar performance and also scored a fantastic 70 points.
Congratulations also to the pupils who had work entered into the Exhibition and Display part of the competition. Feel free to come on down and check out the displays in the office foyer.
Special mention must be made about the Year 8 technical maths groups who worked with Lauren Dick-McCann and Paul Cook to create fabulous mathematical-based static models and mathematical posters.
Many of these projects received Excellence and Highly Commended certificates.
Well done to everyone who took part.
