Otago Daily Times Current Events Quiz

On Wednesday evening 29th August two teams from Casebrook competed in the annual ODT current events quiz at Cobham Intermediate.

Fifty teams competed from Canterbury. The winners of the competition were St Martins school with a score of 94/100, 2nd was Christchurch South with a score of 88/100 and 3rd was Cobham with a score of 83/100. Our Year 8 team came 11th with a score of 73/100 and our Year 7 team came 17th with a score of 66/100. 

Members of the Year 8 team were Ethan Hamilton, Matthieu Riegter and Leo Ormsby. Members of the Year 7 team were Oliver Taunt, Cameron Mason and Josh Rae.

The quiz is a mix of current events and general knowledge. The participants thoroughly enjoyed the competition.
