25 Casebrook Student Leaders attended a two day camp hosted by Te Koru' (PYD). They had the opportunity to challenge themselves as individuals and to learn about the many qualities associated with successful leadership. They were all amazing ambassadors for Casebrook. Well done.
We have almost come to the end of our first term for 2016. It has been an extremely busy term for all our students and an especially important one to establish the positive classroom culture, routines and expectations that make learning successful at our school.
A huge thank you to our staff who have ensured this term has been such a successful one. Their time is pushed greatly in the first term to ensure outdoor education activities happen, meet the teacher, community evening, and thank you evenings are supported, and not to forget school reports and our parent interviews this week. This time is rewarded with a well earned couple of weeks rest over the term break.
At this time I'd like to thank the positive contributions our Parent/Whanau community make to our school. We have students attending Casebrook from over 20 contributing schools this year which makes it so important that students are able to find their place in our school and begin to make the most of the opportunities offered right from the start of their two years with us. This can't happen without the strong link between home and school. As I say frequently, a student success is enhanced when the school and whanau work together.
We look forward to you joining us for our end of term celebration assembly on Friday at 1:30pm in the school hall. This is when we celebrate the success of students who have achieved a Gold Casebrook Challenge Badge and review the events of the term.
This Friday we farewell Mr David Luxon. David has worked the morning shift as our Caretaker for a number of years. Thank you and all the best for the future.
Have a safe and enjoyable break and we look forward to working together in Term Two.
