On Wednesday the 27th of June, 40 Casebrook students went to Halswell Quarry.
There were about 15 other schools participating, including Heaton, Breens, Christchurch South, Cobham, Hillmorton and Shirley.
We interviewed two of our top runners, Annabelle Sincock and Dylan Webb.
Annabelle placed 16th in the Year 8 girls race. She enjoys running but hasn’t been to zones before. Annabelle was both nervous and excited versing the primary kids on Wednesday 4th July. Annabelle had trained for the cross country but not a lot.
Dylan placed 11th equal. He enjoys running and has been to zones before. Dylan was excited about versing the primary schools and he trained 4 nights a week.

AWD: Joshua Rae 1st
Year 7 Girls: Emily Musson 8th; Mya Phillips 17th; Keira Christensen 20th
Year 7 Boys: Kaiden Turner 17th; Rory Attwood 18th
Year 8 Girls: Annabelle Sincock 16th;
Year 8 Boys: Dylan Webb 12th
The Year 7 girl's placed 3rd in their category.
The students listed above raced against numerous primary schools on Wednesday the 4th of July.
