Our Boys and Girls teams both played exceptionally well over the three days at the Koru Games.
The Boys and Girls Football teams both made their way to compete in the Koru Games this year. After a long but exciting opening ceremony we headed to the Prebbleton football grounds, worked out where we were playing and started our warm up routines. The boys had the first game and the girls followed, this pattern remained for the competition which meant we were able to support each other. After early success the boys met their match against Oaklands and sadly this meant we did not make it through to the last eight. The girls drew once and lost once on the way to the knockout stage where the pressure really built. They rose to the challenge admirably and met South in the final. After losing six nil earlier to them we were worried about a walk over but we held them to a draw and then sadly lost on penalties. We all really enjoyed the experience and the fair play attitudes from all the schools. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to making the games happen.
