Casebrook Challenge aims to make homework applicable and relevant to an individual student's learning and encourages the involvement of parents, whānau, teachers, and the community.
These activities may include learning a musical instrument, visiting a Christchurch event, making sandwiches for the family at lunchtime in the weekend, cooking a meal or going swimming with the family.
This part of the programme is optional and you can work towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold level badge each academic term. The badges look great! There are two compulsory challenges in the programme.
The first are reading challenges, as well as a reading log kept over the duration of the academic term. The second compulsory challenges are weekly maths revision sheets on Education Perfect. These sheets help to increase the speed and accuracy of basic facts knowledge.
We celebrate our students who achieve their badges in an end of term celebration assembly.
