On Tuesday 21st June over 70 students took part in the school swimming sports held at Wharenui Pool. On Wednesday 22nd June a group of 40 students represented Casebrook at the Canterbury Cross Country Zones. We spoke to some of them to get their feedback.
Daniel W: Cross Country was very slippery and there was a lot of people at the event. I was stoked to come third.
Jordy M: Cross Country was a challenging course, the weather made it harder. The course had lots of hills making it trying. I was so happy to come 12th.
Rua H: Cross Country was challenging and I showed perseverance by trying my best and not giving up. It wasn't as long as I thought. I was super proud of my result and I want to beat my time next year.
Ethan C: I attended both events. I showed REP by not cheating and not giving up even through it was freezing. I showed excellence by competing in both events. I was pumped with how well I did at swimming sports. Hopefully, I smash my times in 2023!
Jared B: I came 1st in 50m fly, 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle. It was a really fun event with lots of races. I am really happy with my results.
