Our student leaders worked with the team from Bead and Proceed yesterday, learning about the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals .
Bead and Proceed aim to educate every NZ student around the Sustainable Development Goals. Our student leadership team learned about these and why they are so crucial to their world as young people but also the impact they may have on their societies as adults. Heavy stuff!
The beads they coloured and then strung together represent their 5 top goals they would focus on to make our world a more sustainable and equitable place to live.
This is a pretty new educational venture that our student team were really fortunate to be a part of. Our students also provided some great feedback around how best to educate the students of Aotearoa about these goals for a better world.
